Established in 2001, Hillside’s Night of Lights offers local non-profit groups, including schools and youth sports teams, a no-risk fundraising opportunity.  Over 70 non-profit groups participate each year, raising revenue for their specialized needs.  Night of Lights is a private ticketed event hosted by Hillside Centre.  The evening includes retailer incentives/discounts, door prizes, entertainment, appetizers and TONS of FUN!  To date, through ticket sales, participating non-profit organizations have raised over $830,000 for their worthwhile community programs.  Every penny of the tickets sold goes to the non-profit groups! Radiothon[1]Ocean 98.5 Radiothon for Kids  –  May 11 & 12, 2017

This year’s 15th annual Radiothon for Kids benefiting the BC Children’s Hospital raised $179,590!!  Thank you all for your generous support!  Hillside has been a community partner of the Ocean 98.5 Radiothon for Kids acting as the host location for the event as well as providing annual donations.  Over the past 15 years, the two day event has raised over 2 million dollars for sick kids and their families.  To date Hillside Centre has donated over $80,000 – monies raised through ticket sales to our annual November charity night shopping event. (Night of Lights – November 19, 2017)  All money raised goes directly to life saving care and equipment at BC Children’s Hospital – a vital facility for many Vancouver Island families.

 

Victoria Transition HouseVictoria Women’s Transition House  Society

Hillside Centre is proud to support the Victoria Women’s Transition House.  Over the past two years, Hillside has donated $3200 through the sale of VIP tickets to our charity night shopping event ‘Night of Lights’.  (Night of Lights – November 19, 2017)  The Victoria Women’s Transition House Society provides shelter, support, counselling and education to women so that they can live free from the effects of abuse in intimate relationships.  The Society strives to prevent and eliminate abuse through education, advocacy and partnerships.  For further information visit www.transitionhouse.net.
